Having an existential presence in the vodka and liquor community through the pure design of a crystal skull, Crystal Head Vodka has just launched a premier, one-of-a-kind bottle designed by famed artist John Alexander. The launch of this limited edition product stems from the company’s celebration of 10 years in business.
The heads and brains of the brand (pun most certainly intended) chatted with a small gaggle of journalists at an exclusive launch party in the art studio of the vibrant and personable John Alexander. While gathered around, the three shared where the idea of the artist series came from, along with the entirety of the brand and how it was executed. Stories behind the design and creative purity fluttered around the room.
The bottle features various John Alexander originals, including his renowned “Dancing on the Water Lilies of Life” piece, which can be found at the Dallas Museum of Art.
“I am thrilled to unite this expressive painting with the unique design of the Crystal Head Vodka bottle to help create the first edition in the Artist Series. This bottle stays true to the signature style of Crystal Head and appeals to spirit drinkers and art lovers alike,” said John Alexander.
The basis of Crystal Head Vodka is pure vodka at heart. The brand is additive-free, made from a creamy (the brand states it as “peaches and cream”) sweet corn, and blended with immaculate Newfoundland water.
“John Alexander is an exceptionally talented artist and has been involved in our creative process from inception. It is only fitting that he design this special edition bottle as we continue to introduce products that push boundaries and create and excitement that our customers gravitate toward,” said Jonathan Hemi, Manager Partner of Crystal Head Vodka.
The vodka boasts in notes of sweet vanilla and citrus, leaving a smooth taste from start to finish.
The John Alexander bottle will only be sold for a limited amount of time, as there will only be a total of 4,800 bottles sold in North America. The 750ml bottle is $149.95.
