Hoek Home launches artist collaboration with limited-edition Shantell Martin collection

Brooklyn-based, sustainable furniture company, Hoek Home is revolutionizing the industry with an eco-friendly approach and patented snap-lock technology. Now, they’re taking their offerings further, with the launch of their new artist collaboration program to expand designs, connect with creatives, and use their furniture as a means of communicating larger messages. To kick-off the program, Hoek is debuting a limited-edition line with world-famous artist, Shantell Martin.

“Using our collaboration with Shantell as a starting point, we can set up a framework for future artists to collaborate with HOEK on an ongoing basis. Shantell’s art perfectly utilized our machinery, workshop, and expertise in materials and fabrication. We hope to enable other young artists to find a platform and also further our mission of innovation within the furniture industry.” - Conor Coghlan, Co-Founder & CEO

For the collaboration, Shantell Martin and the Hoek Home team came together to design a collection of exclusive pieces spanning from coasters to coffee tables to coveted wall art, all featuring her famous black and white abstract lines and Hoek’s innovative assembly technology. In line with her work’s usual focus on identity, connections, and play, Shantell and Hoek want to challenge consumers to reflect on how they use space, how they consume, and what materials they choose.

The collection officially launched with an interactive exhibit and fireside chat with Shantell and the Hoek team on September 21 at the Museum of Art and Design located at Columbus Circle, in Manhattan and is now available today.

“We are excited to present this collaboration that we've been working on for some time now. It's always so fun and rewarding to experiment with different ideas - A huge thank you to the HOEK team for helping to bring some of those ideas to life and eventually find themselves in people's homes.” - Shantell Martin

Shantell x Hoek is a perfect meeting of the minds, two artistic, thoughtful, and creative forces coming together to make the world, and homes, happier and more comfortable places. The limited-quantity products are available for purchase now on the Hoek Home website with prices ranging from $95 - $3,000.
